Students learn how to act for camera with REAL TV and Film Scripts. Plus one day of SFX and Movie Airbrush make-up. TV and Film acting is a very different technique to theater, come to camp to learn how it's done!

"MAKE A SHORT FILM" CAMP / June 24th- 28th 9:30-3:30 ($385) Plus $25 supplies fee  FULL DAY

Students learn every process to making a movie from writing, casting, directing, shootings and producing their film during the week. Students may choose from many jobs involved in the process. For instance, if they don't want to act, they can be involved in crew and production elements. This is a perfect camp for those who are interested in the film industry. The short film will be screened for family at the end of the week.

COMING SOON: 

MUSICAL THEATER CAMP / Details to follow...

Students learn how to prepare and audition for musical theater. They will work on singing, acting and performing musical theater scenes, and will learn basic Musical Theater history and appreciation. By the end of the week students will have a monologue and musical theater song to perform for their families, and keep in their repertoire for future auditions.

Van Tracy is currently the choir, music and theater director at St. Gabriel's Catholic School. He has over 30 years of experience in music and the performing arts, with a B.F.A. in Musical Theater from the esteemed Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music ("CCM") and decades of experience as a professional musician, actor and singer in venues across the US. Van also earned his Juris Doctorate degree at Fordham University Law School in New York City where he and his wife Julia lived and worked for 10 years before moving to Austin in 2008 to raise their children Zander (12) and Lydia (9).
